Girl Scout Recognition

May 26 was Aubryn's Girl Scout recognition/Bridging Ceremony. She bridged from a brownie to a Junior...Wow she is really growing up!

Memorial Weekend

May 22 -25, Memorial Weekend was spent at the condo having fun in the sun. The hepler family came Sunday and stayed the night and hung out with us on Monday. The kids had a blast swimming and fishing. Andrew caught a red bellied Pacu which aren't supposed to be in the lake so we contacted the Game and Fish and a Sheriff came by boat to pick it up and when Shawn carried the fish to the boat it bit the line and fell back in the lake. OOPS! So we had an exciting weekend!!!

Disney on Ice

April 24th Mom and I took the girls to Disney on Ice Mickey and Minnie's Magical Journey. It was Addyson's first ice show and she loved it. We had front row seats right there on the ice so we had a perfect view and Addyson sat in her seat and didn't move for the longest time and totally enjoyed it. I was afraid that she would get bored and restless but she didn't. We even let her get up to dance a little from time to time. We all had a good time and enjoyed the show.

Water Table

April 21st Addyson got a water table. She loves to play in the sink at Gran's house and makes a big mess but mommy doesn't allow that at home so we got her a water table so that she can play in the water all she wants outside and make as big a mess as she wants! And she does too. It is great for warm days playing outside.

Easter

April 12th we celebrated Easter. The girls got some nice things from the Easter Bunny like a wagon filled with goodies they even got some clothes for their American Girl dolls. We went to church with my parents and then went to my parents for dinner with all of our family. Addyson was not scared of the Easter bunny this year! She st in his lap and didn't even cry! Yea!

Gymnastics Meet

April 4th was Addyson's first gymnastics meet. Addyson and Greer were the only ones in their age group to participate (they were the youngest there) and they did great. I was so proud of them. Addyson went out there by herself without me and did everything she has learned and did great. She got a trophy at the end and was so happy and soooo proud of her trophy.

Girls trip to Branson

March 25 -27 Me, my mom, Aubryn and Addyson went to Branson. We had a great time! We went to Silver Dollar City, shopping, The Dixie Stampede, The Amazing Pets Show, and much more. Our hotel had an indoor water park and the girls had a blast. Aubryn was asked to participate in the show at Dixie Stampede and she did great. We ate at the Hard Luck Diner where your servers sing and the girls loved it! We go there everytime we go to Branson, Addyson really enjoyed that. We packed a lot in and had a great time and the girls were very good. It was a great trip other than finding out my step Grandfather passed away while we were there.

Zoo

On March 30th we went to the zoo to meet up with Val and Ella since they were in town. It was great to see them and all of the kids had a great time. The kids were wanting to walk more than ride in their strollers so it made this trip a little tougher.

Home Videos

The past couple of days I showed Addyson pictures of her when she was a baby for the first time and video of her from the time she was born up until almost a year old and she loves to watch it now. I never showed her the pictures or video before but I decided I would since she is so obsessed with babies I thought she would like to look at herself. She sits glued in front of the tv watching. There will be many more years to come that she can watch of herself and her big sissy.

Aubryn's Powderpuff Pinewood Derby Race

Sat., March 7 was Aubryn's second Powderpuff Pinewood Derby with the Girl Scouts and she won first place! Fastest car on the track!!! Yeah! Last year she came in second to last and Greg wasn't going to let that happen again! Greg worked really hard on her car this year. I think this event is more for the dads than the girls. The dads get serious about this and of course they all want to win. Greg talked about their victory for 2 days and drove us all crazy. Aubryn said to Greg, "Daddy I don't mean to hurt your fellings but you are being really annoying" because he kept saying, "Who got 1st place?", "Who had the fastest car on the track?" etc... We'll see if she can hold the title next year.

Trip To Dallas

Friday, February 13 after Aubryn's Valentine party at school me and the girls headed to Dallas. I was a little nervous about going alone but I was fine. I had done it before with Aubryn many times but never with both of them by myself.

For Valentine's Day we went to the American Girl Store and Bistro where we shopped and had dinner. That morning as part of their Valentine gift the girls each got a Valentine's dress for their dolls to wear to dinner. We shopped and got a few things for their babies and then we had dinner. The girls really enjoyed it! I did too!

Sunday, 2/15, We met Aubryn's family at Amazing Jakes for lunch and stayed there all day. The kids had a blast riding rides and playing games. Aubryn finally climbed the rock wall and did pretty good. She wouldn't go all the way to the top though. Addyson really enjoyed playing with Jaci. It was nice for Aubryn to get to see her brother and cousins. (Aunts and Uncles too).

Monday we headed home and again it was a great trip going back home. We are planning on going again over Spring Break.

Addyson's 1st Movie

On February 7, Gran, Gramps, Aubryn, Mommy, and Addyson went to see Hotel For Dogs. It was Addyson's first time to go to the movies except for when she was pretty little we took her with us to see Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium which she slept through. Anyways, it was not the best experience! Addyson went back and forth between my lap and Gran and Gramps, she wouldn't be still. A sucker kept her still for a minute. She kept dropping her passy and her sippy cup on the floor. Yes, we were one of "those" people who bring their wild kid to the movie. No, really she wasn't that bad. I'm sure the people sitting in front of us weren't too happy. Addyson was very restless which I was afraid of because she did not get a nap that day. I knew she would either fall asleep during the movie or be restless because she was so tired. I was hoping that she would really get into the movie and enjoy the whole experience but she really didn't. Oh well, we will wait a while before we try again or make sure she has a nap before we try it again.

Hot Wheels Cars

Addyson is soooo into Hot Wheels cars right now. She LOVES them! Aubryn likes to play with them too, but not like Addyson does. The first thing Addyson does when she wakes up in the morning is run in the living room and starts playing with her cars. This is just another one of her phases she is going through. We'll see what she is into next week.

Addyson at 2

Today is the third day that Addyson has been using the potty exclusively except for one wet diaper. She is going poo poo and pee pee in the potty. Yeah! I hope this means that we are on our way to being potty trained. She is wearing "big girl" panties as I type this.

She is so funny right now and doing so many new cute things everyday. I need to get better about posting everything before I forget. With something new everyday I can't keep up.

A little while ago she was cooking for her daddy in her play kitchen making one of her favorites, soup. After serving her daddy his meal she brought him a bill and then went and got her fake credit card and gave it to him so he could use it to pay. She is so funny and cute, not mention accurate, that's what happens when we go out to eat so she is just doing what she sees. Gramps says we eat out too much.

Addyson's First Dentist Appt.

Today was Addyson's first dentist appt. at NLR Pediatic Dental with Dr. Wilson. She did really good. When we were waiting to go back I could tell she was a little nervous and was about to tune up and cry but she didn't she just said "I wanna go home". When we got back to the room she didn't want to wear the sunglasses or the headphones to watch tv the hygenist put the sunglasses on her then she took them off. She laid down and let the hygenist clean her teeth but she was crying, she opened her mouth and followed directions but cried through it, I think she just didn't know what to expect. Afterwards, Dr. Wilson came in and she let him look in her mouth without crying. I sat with her the whole time and held her hand that is why I was only able to get one picture, that was when I got up to get her a kleenex. Overall she did great and was super excited about her new toothbrush and the prizes she got out of the prize box.

We went to Gran and Gramps afterwards and she was so proud of herself and showed them her pretty, clean teeth and her prizes. She wouldn't put her prizes down.

After we left Gran and Gramps we went to Hobby Lobby (for Mommy) and Hallmark where she got a Valentine bracelet and pink cowboy boot slippers for doing so good at the dentist.

By the way, NO CAVATIES! and they won't do anything about her crossbite until she is 7 or 8. Also, the passy really hasn't done much damage.

New Year's Eve

We had a pretty low key New Year's Eve, we went to dinner with my aunt and uncle and some of their friends at Outback and then my friend Brandi, her husband Maurice and girls Abigayle and Lillian came over and we baked cookies and the girls toasted their sparkling white grape juice. They thought they were big stuff! We had a good time just hanging out.

Christmas Day

We had a wonderful Christmas, it started out at our house and Gran and Gramps came over early in the morning to see what Santa brought. My Aunt Deirdre and Uncle Scott from North Carolina were staying with us so they got to get in on the fun too. It was really neat that they were here and got to share the moment. Then we went to Gran and Gramps to open presents then had to rush home and get ready to go to Grandmas for Christmas dinner and open presents there. It was a packed, fun-filled day. We had a great day and enjoyed the time spent with our family, we are truly blessed.

Addyson really got into opening the presents this year and just wanted to keep opening and opening. The kitchen was a real big hit! Aubryn plays with it just as much as Addyson. I took a picture of what the girls saw when they woke up Christmas morning.

Rockettes

We went to see the Rockettes with my mom, Aunt Shirley, and cousin Tracy when they came to the Alltel Arena. It was really special to Aubryn since she got to dance with them at her dance studio a couple weeks before the show. Addyson was so good, she sat and watched the whole show and ooohed and ahhhd through the whole thing. Both girls really enjoyed it as well as the adults. I hope they come again next year.
